John Deere Tractors Turn 100

John Deere entered the farm tractor business in March 1918 through the acquisition of the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company. For the past century, John Deere tractors have been the machines that best portray agricultural productivity. In observance of the 100^th anniversary of producing tractors, John Deere is connecting the pride of the past with the promise of the future.

The Waterloo Boy tractor was John Deere’s first tractor in 1918. The tractor continued to be sold under the Waterloo Boy name until the John Deere Model D tractor was introduced in 1923. The 100-year legacy of the John Deere tractor is one of evolution and innovation. Today, leading-edge products such as the 9620RX - 4 track tractor, further advance the legacy.

Waterloo Boy was first introduced by John Deere March 14, 2018.

“Starting with the Waterloo Boy to the next generation of tractors being sold today, John Deere has focused on delivering innovative products to meet the needs of our clients” explained Wayne Peyre, Martin Deerline General Manager. “The purchase of Waterloo Boy was a turning point in John Deere’s history and has led to the company becoming a one stop solution for agricultural producers, and homeowners alike. Martin Motor Sports Merges with Raybruns Marine World

Martin Motor Sports (a division of MMD Sales Ltd.) and Rayburns Marine World are pleased to announce that they have agreed to merge their operations effective January 01st. Both organizations share a proud heritage of leadership and excellence in the marine industry and take great pride in taking care of their customers and their staff. We are all excited around the opportunities that this merger will create for our combined customers and our team.

From the perspective of existing Rayburns customers, we see a combined organization being able to provide a wider range of products and services, as well as a greater selection of those products. From the perspective of Martin customers, the increased scale and additional product lines will provide an increased level of inventory and the ability to meet the needs of our customers. The combination allows our combined organization to continue on its quest to invest in our business with a focus on providing long term solutions to our customers’ needs and desires.

Over the next few months, both parties will complete the necessary steps to complete the deal, including all necessary due diligence and integration of operations. The marine operations of the two organizations will be merged in both Calgary and Kelowna under Martin Motor Sports effective January 01, 2018.

Martin Motor Sports will offer marine and power sports products through five stores across Western Canada. Together with our sister organization Martin Deerline’s ten stores, our customer service driven team focuses on meeting the needs of our valuable customers by partnering with some of the best manufacturers in the world. New John Deere Parts Warranty

Effective January 27th, 2017 John Deere updated their parts warranty for all Agricultural and Turf parts. And it got better for you, as the warranty periods have increased!

Ag Parts:
12 Months on Dealer Installed John Deere Parts. Coverage for both parts and labor when installed by an authorized Martin Deerline Service Technician.

6 Months on Over the Counter John Deere Parts.

Seasonal warranties will apply to Ag parts, from the date of first use. First use dates are set as March 15th for Seeding and August 15th for Harvest.


Turf Parts
6 Months on Dealer Installed & Over the Counter John Deere Parts. Coverage for both parts and labor when installed by an authorized Martin Deerline Service Technician.

Turf parts are classified as parts for; Riding Lawn Equipment, ZTraks, QuikTraks, Wide Area Mowers, Front Mount Mowers, Golf Equipment, Gators and Compact Utility Tractors up to and including 4 Series Tractors.
