John Deere Tractors Turn 100

John Deere entered the farm tractor business in March 1918 through the acquisition of the Waterloo Gasoline Engine Company. For the past century, John Deere tractors have been the machines that best portray agricultural productivity. In observance of the 100^th anniversary of producing tractors, John Deere is connecting the pride of the past with the promise of the future.

The Waterloo Boy tractor was John Deere’s first tractor in 1918. The tractor continued to be sold under the Waterloo Boy name until the John Deere Model D tractor was introduced in 1923. The 100-year legacy of the John Deere tractor is one of evolution and innovation. Today, leading-edge products such as the 9620RX - 4 track tractor, further advance the legacy.

Waterloo Boy was first introduced by John Deere March 14, 2018.

“Starting with the Waterloo Boy to the next generation of tractors being sold today, John Deere has focused on delivering innovative products to meet the needs of our clients” explained Wayne Peyre, Martin Deerline General Manager. “The purchase of Waterloo Boy was a turning point in John Deere’s history and has led to the company becoming a one stop solution for agricultural producers, and homeowners alike. To commemorate the centennial of tractors, all 2018 model agriculture tractors will come with a commemorative decal. Martin Deerline will also be hosting some events in conjunction with our Customer Appreciation Days this Spring and Summer. Watch for more details to come!

Trade Show Season Has Begun!

Martin Deerline is kicking off our trade show season with two events starting today, Thursday, March 16th.

Visit us in Edmonton, at the Edmonton Boat & Sportsmen's Show for great deals on Gators, Compact Utility Tractors, ZTrak Mowers and Lawn Tractors.

  

The Boat & Sportsmen's Show, happening at the Edmonton EXPO Centre, opened at noon today and runs until Sunday, March 19th. Purchase tickets and view the complete schedule here.
